Dani is an ISU graduate and she is originally from Tonganoxie, KS. Dani was primarily interested in working with traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients and those who suffer from posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Dani was also highly interested in neuroimaging techniques such as fMRI and how those methods can be utilized to better understand the underlying neural mechanisms of TBI and PTSD patients. She is completed a Master's Degree in Psychology at University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, CO then joined the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program at UCCS.

Joseph looks forward to entering into a doctoral program to study obesity as a mechanism in neuropathology.

After completing his master's at UNLV, he moved to University of Colorado Boulder where he completed his Ph.D. in Evolutionary Biology. Dr. Barbara Wood Roberts' research focuses on assessment of intercultural competence. She is especially interested in the relationship between perspective taking and intercultural competence. Barbara is the author of What is c Factor, and where can I get it? (2016), published in the online journal "The Inquisitive mind." You can find it here.
The focus of her dissertation was a close examination of intercultural competence, which is composed of the skills and attitudes that facilitate openness to other cultures and promote effective cross-cultural communication. Using the framework of Griffith, Wolfeld, Armon, Rios and Liu (2016), Dr. Roberts has developed a statistical model of intercultural competence and assessed for changes in intercultural competence among college-level students in introduction to psychology courses. Dr. Roberts is Director of the Intercultural Competence Lab.

He earned his Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from ISU in 2017. Generally, he is interested in using approaches from behavioral pharmacology, behavioral economics, and the experimental analysis of behavior to investigate mechanisms that promote and maintain obesity using both non-human animal and human models. Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Michigan.

He received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from ISU in August, 2017. Dr. Schumann finished an APA accredited internship at the Minneapolis VA and a Clinical Health Psychology Fellowship at The Mayo Clinic. He is currently a Clinical Psychologist at The Mayo Clinic. Dr. Schumann's research interests include psychological factors (e.g., perceived control and catastrophizing) and aging attributions regarding the onset and maintenance of chronic pain. He is also interested in how these psychological factors and attributions affect comorbid health problems and psychological disorders associated with chronic pain.

Garima hails from New Delhi, India. Before enrolling at ISU, she worked for UNICEF on two different roles, General Health Care Assistant and Quantitative Data Analyst. During her time at ISU, she worked as an undergrad Research Assistant in Dr. Xu's lab, Dr. Steven Lawyer's lab, and Dr. Erika Fulton's lab. Her research areas include Cognitive and Experimental Psychology. Additionally, she has interests in studying memory, health and human psychology and social media. Garima hails from New Delhi, India. Before enrolling at ISU, she worked for UNICEF on two different roles, General Health Care Assistant and Quantitative Data Analyst. During her time at ISU, she worked as an undergrad Research Assistant in Dr. Xu's lab, Dr. Steven Lawyer's lab, and Dr. Erika Fulton's lab. Her research areas include Cognitive and Experimental Psychology. Additionally, she has interests in studying memory, health and human psychology and social media. Tyler Stenersen attended ISU where he majored in Dietetics, as well as University of Montana where he majored in Health and Human Performance. Tyler's interests include fMRI methodology (particularly in understanding patterns of brain activation, deactivation, and functioning), working memory, and cognitive function. Tyler is the owner of Portneuf Valley Sprinklers, an underground sprinkler installation company, based in Pocatello, ID.

Dr. Ariana Tart-Zelvin (Dr. T-Z) is originally from Dallas, TX. She received her B.S. from Johns Hopkins University in neuropsychology and neuroscience and her M.S. from Drexel University in Psychology with a concentration in neuropsychology. Her research with both Dr. Mona Xu and Dr. Kandi Turley-Ames at Idaho State University focused on brain activity in cognitive constructs such as working memory, strategy use, and other executive functions through the use of neuroimaging techniques such as fMRI and DTI. As part of completing her doctoral degree in clinical psychology, she is completing her one-year clinical internship at the University of Washington. She worked at both Harborview Medical Center and the University of Washington Medical Center. Dr. T-Z completed a Postdoctoral Fellow in Clinical Neuropsychology at the the University of Michigan and is currently a Neuropsychologist at the Swedish Program for Healthy Aging (part of the Swedish Neuroscience Institute) in Seattle, WA.

Her research interests are in neuropsychology, behavioral health, fMRI and MRI neuroimaging techniques, as well as trauma. Clinical interests coincide with her research interests within the adult population, as well as military and police populations. Dr. Tupy's dissertation focused on veteran reintegration difficulties. After completing an APA accredited internship at the Fargo VA in North Dakota, Dr. Tupy is now a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Assistant Director of Clinical Training at the Fargo VA.
