Professor and Director of Experimental Training Department of Psychology Idaho State University (on Shoshone-Bannock land) Pronouns: she, her, hers Dr. Xu was born in Fuling, China and immigrated to the U.S. at the age of 5. She grew up in New York City and attended Hunter College High School (on Wappinger and Munsee Lenape land). Dr. Xu received a B.A. in Psychology from New York University (on Lenape land), an M.A. in Psychology from Stony Brook University (on Setauket land), and a Ph.D. in Social Health Psychology from Stony Brook University. She completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship sponsored by the National Institutes of Health at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and The Miriam Hospital (on Narragansett and Wampanoag land).
