Dr. Xiaomeng (Mona) Xu, Ph.D.
Associate Professor, Experimental Psychology
Dr. Xu was born in Fuling, China and immigrated to the U.S. at the age of 5. She grew up in New York City and attended Hunter College High School (Class of 2001, Quantum Sheep). Dr. Xu received a B.A. in Psychology from New York University, an M.A. in Psychology from Stony Brook University, and a Ph.D. in Social Health Psychology from Stony Brook University. She completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship sponsored by the National Institutes of Health at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and The Miriam Hospital.
Dr. Xu's research focuses on close relationships (especially romantic relationships), behavioral health (e.g. physical activity/sedentary behavior, weight control), and pedagogy. Dr. Xu is also involved in neuroimaging research and examining individual differences and culture.
